Privacy Policy

The Common Field collects a small amount of information, uses it for one purpose, and does not sell it.

What we collect. When you join, we collect your name, email address, school or organization, role, and location. If you become a member, Stripe collects your payment details on our behalf. We never see or store your card number.

Why we collect it. This information is what makes the network work. Knowing who you are, where you are, and what you lead is how we connect you to the right people. Your email is how we stay in touch.

Who sees it. Only me. Information is not sold, rented, or shared with advertisers or third parties for their own use. When a connection is made between two members, only what is needed for the introduction is shared, and only with your knowledge.

Service providers. We use Squarespace to run this website and collect form submissions, and Stripe to process payments. Each holds information necessary to provide those services and is bound by its own privacy policy.

How it is protected. Information is held in password-protected accounts with those providers. Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe, which is certified to the payment industry's security standards.

How long we keep it. As long as you are part of The Common Field, and for a reasonable period after, in case you return. Ask and we will delete it.

Your choices. You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, at any time. Write to yoni@thecommonfield.org.
